is involved in missions. |
Mission
Trips
Church mission trips allow the
church family to travel to and reach underserved areas. Our adults, as
well as youth, actively attend these trips and are able to minister to the
people effectively, through prayer walks and Backyard Bible Clubs (for
children).
Some previous trips include:
Woodville (near Beaumont, Texas) - December 2005
Montpelier, Vermont - Summer 2004
Franklin, Pennsylvania - Summer 2001

The Reason We Give to
AAEO:
To help our missionary force reach for Christ an estimated 244 million lost
people in the United States and Canada; that's three of four people.
Number of NAMB Missionaries:
More than 5,200. Generally, a third of the number represents career
missionaries, a third are short-term funded missionaries, and a third are
Mission Service Corps missionaries.
What do AAEO-supported missionaries do?
Start new churches
Engage in student evangelism on college campuses
Serve the physical and spiritual needs of people through inner-city Baptist
centers
Serve in local Baptist associations as associational missionary or other mission
staff
Provide training and ministry in interfaith witness evangelism
Minister in resort settings such as campgrounds and ski areas.

challenges Texas Baptists to be willing to give of our time, money, and selves
to the cause of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the vast mission field
