Each semester in college is a new experience all together.  Awaiting you are papers to write, notes to take, and tests to study for. What?!? Don’t remind you?!? Okay, let’s switch gears. Those duties don’t sound too inviting, but the good news is that you’ll discover excitement this semester through friendships, late nights, and possibly even romance while involved in the college experience.

At First Baptist Church, Hallsville we hope that the exciting aspects of college life far outweigh those aspects that you don’t care for as much. We believe that a sure-fire way to get the most enjoyment out of your college experience is to plug in to a local church. We want what’s best for college students and that’s found in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ in the context of a local church. We hope that you’ll put finding a church home (while away from home) at the top of your “To Do List” and when you make it a matter of prayer, we know that God will lead you to a church that is your perfect fit.

The one opportunity that I believe is special for college students at F.B.C.H. is the opportunity that we give you to actually serve hands-on in your area of giftedness. For instance, this year, we have college students teaching Sunday School, speaking and leading in worship at youth rallies, serving as chaperones at various church events, working with audio/visual aspects of the church, and leading out in the children’s ministry. I hope that this will let you know a little bit more about F.B.C.H. and our college ministry. Don’t forget…get involved in a local church and get that 4.0!
